27 Sep 2023 Dipendra Singh Airee's knock of 52 runs off just 10 balls (8 sixes) against Mongolia is the fastest 50 in t20 international cricket (and fastest 50 in T20 cricket). The second fastest fifty in T20Is is by India's Yuvraj Singh, who scored a 12-ball half-century against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

T20 cricket, the shortest and fastest format of cricket, demands that the batters score runs as fast as possible in the T20 format. A quick score of 30-40 runs or a fifty off just 25-30 balls can be a difference-maker in the result of a T20 match.
