India Test Squad for the Australia Series 2023
13 Mar. 2023 India vs Australia fourth Test in Ahmedabad ended in a draw. India will play 3 ODIs against Australia. Pat Cummins will not be available for the 3-match ODI Series and Steve Smith is named as the captain.
The Test series forms a part of the World Test Championship 2021 - 2023 cycle but the ODI series is not a part of the ongoing ODI Super League 2020-2023 cycle.

India Test Squad for the Australia Series 2023 (3rd and 4th Test)
There are no changes to the squad for the 3rd and 4th Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. R. Sharma will lead the India team, whih lead the 4-match by 2-0. Suryakumar Yadav and wicketkeeper-batter I. Kishan remain in the India's Test team.
M. Shami, M. Siraj, U. Yadav, and J. Unadkat are the pace options for the last two Tests. Star pacer J. Bumrah will miss the Test series as he continues to recover from a back stress injury. R. Ashwin will be India's premier spin option in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with R. Jadeja, A. Patel, and K. Yadav being the other spinners.

19 Feb. 2023 India announced the 18-player squad for the 3-match ODI series against Australia starting on 9th March 2023.
Captain Rohit Sharma will miss the 1st ODI due to family commitments. Vice-captain H. Pandya will lead the team in Mmmbai on 17 March. He will captain India for the 1st time in ODIs. Saurashtra captain J. Unadkat is back in the ODI squad after playing his last ODI back in 2013. Both Ravindra Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer are back in the ODI squad after missing out due to injuries.

Australia Test Squad for the India Tour 2023
Cricket Australia has named an 18-member squad for the upcoming Test series against India, starting on 9th February 2023. Pat Cummins is the captain, while pacer Todd Murphy is a first-time inclusion in the Australia Test squad. He will join Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Swepson in the spin department. Matt Kuhnemann was added to the squad before the 2nd Test.
Matthew Renshaw and Peter Handscomb are the backup batters. Handscomb will be the only wicketkeeper choice if Alex Carey gets injured during the series. D. Warner and J. Hazlewood are ruled out of the 3rd and 4th Test while A. Agar returns home to play domestic cricket.

23 Feb. 2023 Cricket Australia announced a strong 16-player squad for the 3-match ODI series against India starting on 9th March 2023.
S, Smith is the captain, while G. Maxwell, M. Marsh and J. Richardson all make returns to the national squad after injuries. The Cricket World Cup in India is just 7 months away and this will be an important series for the Australia Team. J. Hazlewood will miss the seires due to Achilles injury. N. Ellis replaces the injured J. Richardson in the ODI squad on 6 Mar. 2023.
