Before the 2016 Indian T20 League season, Virat Kohli had no century to his name in the T20 format. That season, Kohli broke all batting records by smashing 4 hundreds and scoring a staggering 973 runs in the Indian T20 League. His phenomenal effort took Bangalore to the final but they lost to Hyderabad. Virat's last IPL hundred came against Rajasthan in 2024.
2) Jos Buttler: 7 Centuries in 103 Matches
England's white-ball captain Jos Buttler has scored seven centuries in the Indian T20 League so far. 4 of these came in the 2022 season when he scored 863 runs at an average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05. Buttler took the Rajasthan team into the 2022 final almost single-handedly but failed to win against Gujarat.

3) Chris Gayle: 6 Centuries in 142 Matches
Former West Indies batter Chris Gayle has hit the second most centuries in the Indian Premier League. Gayle, arguably the greatest T20 player of all time, smashed a record 6 centuries in 142 matches. Five of his Indian T20 League centuries came for the Bangalore team, starting in 2011. His last hundred came for Punjab against Hyderabad in 2018.
4) KL Rahul: 4 Centuries in 126 Matches
Lucknow's skipper KL Rahul is third on the list of the batters who have scored the most centuries in the Indian T20 League. Rahul's first 2 centuries came while playing for Punjab in 2019 and 2020. He joined the Lucknow team in 2022, hit two centuries in the season, and scored 616 runs at an average of 51.33. Australia's David Warner and Shane Watson have also hit the same number of centuries (4 each) in the Indian T20 League’s history.

5) David Warner: 4 Centuries in 183 Matches
David Warner is one of the most successful players in Indian T20 League history. He is the third-highest run-getter in the tournament overall and the highest among all the overseas batters. Warner's first Indian T20 League century came in 2010 and his second in 2012, both for Delhi. His last two hundreds came while playing for Hyderabad in 2017 and 2019. He was the Orange Cap winner in both seasons.
6) Shane Watson: 4 Centuries in 145 Matches
Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has scored four centuries in the Indian T20 League. He played a crucial role in helping Rajasthan win the title in the inaugural season. Watson's first 2 centuries came in 2013 and 2015. In the 2018 season, he scored 2 hundreds, including one in the final against Hyderabad, helping Chennai become champions for the third time.
