Match: England vs. West Indies, 3rd Test
Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester, England
Date and time: July 24, 2020, at 3.30 PM IST
Preview: England made a stunning comeback in the 2nd Test of the West Indies tour of England. After getting beaten in the 1st Test, England was determined to avenge the loss and beat the West Indies team in the second Test. England was easily the much better side in all aspects of the game despite their ace bowler J Archer being disallowed to participate in the match. The England team took the pitch with a new-look bowling attack but it was sufficient to stun the visitors. The West Indies weren’t consistent enough with their performance and it cost them the match. Now both teams enter the final Test, starting on 24th July, looking for a victory that not only seals the series but also helps them on the Test World Championship leaderboard.
Pitch and Weather Conditions: The weather forecast has a grim prediction for the 3rd Test match between England and the West Indies. After a pleasant first day, it is expected to rain heavily on the second day, following on till the 5th day. This means that a considerable amount of the time will be wasted, so fantasy players should select teams suited to a draw. As for the pitch report, it is likely to offer assistance to fast bowlers as seen in the last match. This is good news for both the teams as both of them boast of an impressive pace attack.
