After the successful tour of the West Indies, Indian cricket team’s next assignment is a 3-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. The India vs Zimbabwe 2022 series will be played on 18, 20 and 22 August 2022. 
 

This series is part of the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League and 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process. All the 3 ODIs are very crucial matches for both the teams.
 

Three of the most memorable India-Zimbabwe matches took place during the 1983, 1999 and 2015 editions of the ODI World Cup. Overall, the two teams have met each other in 63 ODI matches so far, with India winning 51 games, Zimbabwe winning 10, and 2 matches ending in no result. India have been unbeaten in the last 11 one-day matches played against Zimbabwe.

Team India beat the West Indies 3-0 away in their last ODI series. On the other hand, Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh 2-1 in the recently concluded home ODI series.

The 3-match India vs. Zimbabwe ODI series will take place on 18th August, 20th August and 22nd August. The venue of all the ODI games is Harare Sports Club in Harare, Zimbabwe. The start time of all the ODI matches is 12:45 PM IST.

India Team ODI Squad For Zimbabwe Series

KL Rahul is fit and will lead the 15-man India team squad in the 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. S. Dhawan will be the vice captain. R. Sharma, V. Kohli, R. Pant, R. Jadeja, H. Pandya and J. Bumrah are all being rested for this tour.

R. Tripathi got his maiden ODI call-up while Pacer D. Chahar is back in the squad after recovering from his leg injury. All-rounder W. Sundar was named in the initial squad but withdrew due to injury. S. Ahmed (maiden ODI call-up) is called in as his replacement.

The Zimbabwe Team has named a 18-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against India. R. Chakabva to lead as regular captain C. Ervine is absent due to injury.

Experienced bowlers B. Muzarabani, T. Chatara, and W. Masakadza will also miss the ODI series against Team India because of injuries.
