PUNJAB VS. RAJASTHAN: INDIAN T20 LEAGUE 2021, MATCH 32 | PREDICTION, PLAYING 11 AND FANTASY CRICKET TIPS

Punjab takes on Rajasthan in Match 32 of the Indian T20 League 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday evening.

It is a fresh start and all the teams have to build their momentum from scratch. With both Punjab and Rajasthan reeling at the bottom half of the points table, neither team can afford to lose more matches in the second leg.

Punjab have won 3 out of 8 games, while Rajasthan have the same number of wins in 7 matches. Both teams have a lot of new faces as replacements and will need a win in their first match to put in the right step in the tournament.

Weather Report

The weather is expected to be mostly fair in Dubai, with the temperature predicted to be around 35 degrees during the game.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the Dubai International Stadium has generally been a good batting surface. The batters will require timing and power in their shots, given the fairly big boundaries. As seen in the previous match, the surface will assist the quick bowlers more during the game. The average first-innings score here has been 166 runs.

Toss

The team batting first has won 16 of the 26 games played here last season. As the wicket tends to get slower as the game progresses, batting first is a preferable option here. A first-innings score of around 170 runs can be a competitive one on this surface.

Top Fantasy Picks

Wicketkeeper

  • KL Rahul comes into the UAE leg with good batting memories of last year when he won the Orange Cap. He was in excellent form in the recent Test series in England. He scored 331 runs in seven matches at an average of 66.20 in the first leg.

Batters

  • Mayank Agarwal had a great first half of the 2021 season, making 260 runs in seven matches at an average of 43.33. He missed out on a century in the last match against Delhi, scoring 99 runs from just 58 deliveries. Expect him to continue his good form.
  • Evin Lewis comes to the UAE with an enhanced reputation and in top form from the Caribbean T20 League, making 426 runs in 11 matches at an average of 47.33 and an excellent strike rate of 163.21. He can be a game-changer at the top of the order for Rajasthan.

All-Rounder

  • Chris Morris is proving out to be worth the money Rajasthan paid for him in the auction. A match-winner who can contribute equally with both bat and ball, he has taken 14 wickets in seven matches at an average of 16 and has scored 48 runs in four innings.

Bowlers

  • Mohammad Shami is effective and can trouble any batter in the world on a pace-friendly surface. He was Punjab’s best bowler last year, with 20 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 23. In this year’s tournament, he has taken 8 wickets at an economy rate of 8.16 so far.
  • Mustafizur Rahman comes into the second leg on the back of some good performances for Bangladesh. The left-arm pacer has taken 18 wickets in his last 10 T20s, with best figures of 4/12. His pace variations and death-bowling ability make him an ideal bowler in the death overs.
