RAJASTHAN VS. HYDERABAD: INDIAN T20 LEAGUE 2021, MATCH 28 | PREDICTION AND FANTASY CRICKET TIPS

In match 28 of the Indian T20 League 2021, Rajasthan take on Hyderabad at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday afternoon.

It continues to be another disappointing season for Rajasthan, who sit second from the bottom in the points table after their loss to Mumbai by 7 wickets in the last match. There were some positive signs in the batting department as Jos Buttler made 41 and all the top four batsmen contributed well to a reasonable total of 171 runs. Chris Morris continues to pick up wickets but wickets at the start continue to be an issue. Yashasvi Jaiswal looks pretty settled in the opening role alongside Buttler. So expect an unchanged line-up here.

Hyderabad sit at the bottom of the ladder with just 2 points from six matches. The pressure is mounting with every game as they have to start winning if they want to make it to the playoffs. Kane Williamson has replaced David Warner as captain for the remainder of the tournament. Their struggles are highlighted by the fact that they have used 21 different players already in the tournament. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is likely to return from injury and replace either Sandeep Sharma or Siddharth Kaul.

With both teams desperate to clinch a win here, expect a cracking game of T20 cricket on this doubleheader Sunday at Delhi.

Weather and Pitch Report

Delhi is expected to have clear weather during the match. The temperature will be around 39 degrees during the game.

As seen in the previous games, the pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium is quite good for batting. Although there is a little bit of assistance to the pace bowlers early in the match, run-scoring is fairly easy as compared to the sluggish Chennai pitch. Batsmen can hit through the line and clear short boundaries easily. Expect spin to play an important role in the first innings.

With the dew factor in mind, both captains will look to field first on winning the toss. The pitch will get easier to bat on as the match progresses. A first-innings score of around 190 runs should be a competitive one.

Top Fantasy Picks

  • Yashasvi Jaiswal looks to be making a solid claim at the top of the order, thanks to scores of 22 and 32 in his two innings so far in the tournament. He is a very talented batsman and will look to continue his good scoring form here.
  • Sanju Samson is the top run scorer for Rajasthan, with 229 runs in six matches at a strike rate of 145.85. He is showing some much-needed consistency, with consecutive 40s in his last two innings. He will need to make good use of his current form.
  • Chris Morris continues to pick up crucial wickets in the tournament. He has now taken 11 wickets in six matches at an average of 17.72. He took 2/33 in the last game against Mumbai and 4/23 in the game before that against Kolkata. He can also do a good job with the bat.
  • Jonny Bairstow is leading the scoring chart for Hyderabad this season, with 218 runs in six matches at a strike rate of 141.55. He was dismissed for his first single-digit score of the season in the last match. He will look to bounce back with a big knock here.
  • David Warner has been his usual self at the top of the order. Although he has made runs, he is struggling to make them at a quicker pace. His current strike rate is only 110.28. He played a lot of balls in the last match and will have gained the confidence to go big here.
  • Rashid Khan is usually very economical in his spell, as reflected in his economy rate of 6.16 after six matches. He picked up 3 wickets in the last game against Chennai in a losing cause. He will hope to pick up more wickets here.
