SOUTH AFRICA VS. PAKISTAN: PAK’S TOUR OF SA 2021, 4th T20 | MATCH PREDICTION AND FANTASY CRICKET TIPS

Hosts South Africa take on Pakistan in the fourth and final T20 match of the series at the SuperSport Park in Centurion on Friday.

After being brutally beaten in the second T20I, Pakistan roared back in the third match with a commanding 9-wicket win after successfully chasing a target of 204. Captain B Azam led the way with his maiden T20I hundred and helped his team take an unbeaten 2-1 lead in the 4-match series. Babar and M Rizwan put on a sensational partnership of 197 to help their team reach the target easily. However, all of the bowlers struggled in the match, with M Nawaz taking 2 wickets for 38 runs. Nevertheless, the visitors will be confident of winning this match too.

South Africa were sitting comfortably in game three of this 4-game T20 series against Pakistan after posting an impressive 203 on the board in the first innings. However, their inexperienced bowling attack was dispatched to all corners of the ground, with Hendricks, Magala and Shamsi all going for 12.66 runs per over. Despite the absence of many first-choice players, the batting has looked strong throughout this series and will be confident of their abilities coming into this final match. A few changes in the bowling department may be expected.

With the hosts struggling without their key players, It will take a huge effort from them to level this series against a strong Pakistan side. Nonetheless, expect an entertaining game of T20 cricket at Centurion on Friday.

Weather and Pitch Report

Centurion is expected to have clear weather during the match. The temperature will be around 26 degrees during the game.

The track at the SuperSport Park is quite good for batting and the batsmen will enjoy batting on this track. Seamers will get some bounce with the new ball. With not much help available for them, spinners will have to rely on their lengths and variations. The average first-innings score in the last five T20I matches played here has been 183 runs.

Out of the last five T20I played here, three matches have been won by the teams chasing. Keeping that in mind, the captain winning the toss will most likely choose to field first. A first-innings score of around 195 runs should be a competitive one.

Key Players

  • A Markram is having a great time with the bat in the series, scoring 3 consecutive half centuries (63, 54, and 51) in the last three matches. Overall, he has scored 168 runs in the series at an average of 56 and a strike rate of 180.65.
  • J Malan has been solid at the top of the order in the series so far. He scored his maiden T20 half century in the last game. Overall, he has scored 94 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 142.42. He will look to end the tour with a big knock.
  • L Williams is the highest wicket taker in the series so far, with 5 wickets in three matches and the best bowling figures of 3/35. Overall, he has taken 52 wickets in 42 T20 matches. He will look to put up a big performance here.
  • B Azam became the third Pakistan batsman to score a century in all three formats of the game. He scored 122 runs off just 59 balls, including 15 fours and 4 sixes. He will be very hard to contain, given the kind of form he is currently in.
  • M Rizwan carried on his good form in the last game. He scored 73 runs off 47 balls, his 8th 50+ score in 12 T20 games. He will look to make the most of the batting-friendly conditions in this final match of the tour.
  • Hassan Ali has taken 4 wickets in the first three matches of the series at an average of 22.75. Moreover, he is a handy lower-order batsman as seen in the few batting opportunities he has gotten so far. He will look to pick more wickets in this match.
