The Bangalore team bought Avesh for ₹10 lakhs at the 2017 Indian T20 League auction. After making his debut in 2017, Avesh moved to Delhi for ₹70 lakhs. Until 2020, he only played eight matches and picked up 5 wickets in four seasons.
Avesh picked up a season high 24 wickets in the 2021 season and finished as the second-highest wicket taker behind Harshal Patel. He was bought by Team Lucknow in the 2022 auction for a massive amount of ₹10 crores after a fierce bidding war.
