Bangladesh T20 League 2022

The Bangladesh T20 League is the professional T20 cricket league of Bangladesh consisting of six franchises - Dhaka, Comilla, Sylhet, Barishal, Chattogram and Khulna. The first season of the league was held during February 2012. This will be the 8th season of the Bangladesh League Cricket, which will begin on 21st January 2022. The champions will get BDT 1 Cr. (approx. US$ 111,100) while the runners-up side will get BDT 50 lakhs (approx. US$ 55,555).

Dhaka is the most successful team with three titles. Comilla, Rangpur and Rajshahi are the only other teams to be crowned champions. The current champions are Rajshahi (now dissolved), who defeated Khulna in Season 7.

Bangladesh League Format

Each team plays with each other twice in a round-robin format in the group stage. After the group stage, the top four teams in the points table qualify for play-offs. The format for play-offs is slightly different from the direct knockout format.

Bangladesh League 2022 Schedule

The tournament will witness 34 matches taking place across three venues - Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet. The final of Bangladesh League 2022 will take place on February 18. The day matches have a start time of 1 PM/1.30 PM and the night matches have a start time of 6 PM/6.30 PM.
