Bangalore vs Delhi: A Battle of North vs South in the Indian T20 League

Bangalore and Delhi, arguably two of the most improved sides in the Indian T20 League, will be up against each other in the 14th edition of the tournament. Though both sides have a number of T20 superstars in their ranks, the results never went in their favor, with just 4 play-off appearances in the last five editions, and a final appearance each in 2016 and 2020.

The 2020 edition saw Bangalore improve significantly on their batting front, with an experienced Devdutt Padikkal at the opening slot and the newly-picked Glenn Maxwell adding strength to their middle order. As far as their northern competitors are concerned, the last two editions witnessed the rise of Delhi, from making their first play-off appearance since 2013 in 2019 to their first final appearance in the Indian T20 League in 2020.

Can either of these teams end their title drought this season? The answers are coming soon.
