Delhi vs Kolkata: Emerging Force against Fading Stars

This contest pits two sides that have journeyed in different directions in recent seasons. Delhi made it to the play-offs in three of the first five Indian T20 League seasons, but then had six miserable years where they finished no higher than 6th place in the points table. However, after a name change and rebranding, they’ve made it to the play-offs in two successive years, including their first final in 2020. When the league was halted in May, they sat atop the table.
