Indian T20 League Rajasthan Squad 2021

The Rajasthan Team retained 17 players and released eight players before the 2021 season of the Indian T20 League. They have bought eight players in the 2021 Auction.

Rajasthan Team Top Players

Below are the players in different categories that can be crucial to the team's chances in the 2021 season of the Indian T20 League.

    • Sanju Samson In the elite group of six players with 3 or more Indian T20 League hundreds, only Samson averages less than 30. That alone should tell you how he has struggled for consistency across nine seasons. At his best, he is a free-stroking game changer. He showed his quality in Rajasthan’s very first game of the 2021 season, with a sparkling 63-ball 119 in a narrow loss to Punjab. Read more..

Top Batters

    • Liam Livingstone With their three top English players missing this leg of the Indian T20 League, this is a tremendous opportunity for Livingstone to get noticed. Across 149 T20 games, he averages over 30 and has a strike rate above 145. He got to play only four matches for Rajasthan in 2019, but as they hunt a play-off place this season, his aggressive batting could complement Sanju Samson’s class in the top order. Read more..
    • David Miller After three thrilling six-filled seasons (2013-15), his stint with the Punjab team rather fizzled out. Bought by Rajasthan before the 2020 season, he has finally found a regular spot this year, though he has yet to match the big-hitting standards of old. But his 43-ball 62 that helped Rajasthan achieve a victory in Match 7 against Delhi offered a glimpse of what he is still capable of. Read more..
    • Evin Lewis With 5 centuries and a strike rate of nearly 145 over the course of a 180-game T20 career, Lewis will be desperate to show that he is better than the fleeting moments of class he produced for Mumbai in 2018 and 2019. He has massive shoes to fill, taking Jos Buttler’s place, and Rajasthan will need him to be switched on right away as they chase a play-off place. His highest Indian T20 League score of 65 (42 balls) came against Bangalore in 2018. Read more..

    • Chris Morris After previous stints with Chennai, Rajasthan, Delhi and Bangalore, Morris returned to Rajasthan and made a stunning impact with 14 wickets in the first half of the season. His best spell of 4 for 23 came in Match 18 against Kolkata. His displays have made Bangalore’s decision to release him – after 11 wickets and an economy rate of 6.63 – all the more puzzling. Morris remains a handy hitter lower down the order, with his 32-ball 82* against Gujarat (2016) part of many Indian T20 League highlight reels. Read more..

Top Bowlers

    • Mustafizur Rahman After a stunning first Indian T20 League season with Hyderabad in 2016, when he took 17 wickets at the economy rate of 6.90, he hasn’t had the same impact. Rajasthan offered him a fresh start, and there have been signs of the fizz of old, with slower balls and yorkers as he took 8 wickets in the first phase of the season. His best figures of 3 for 20 came against Hyderabad in Match 28. Read more..
    • Tabraiz Shamsi According to the ICC rankings, the South African is currently the best T20 bowler in the world. He’s a much better bowler now than he was when he played four matches for Bangalore in the 2016 season. A replacement for the missing Ben Stokes in the Rajasthan squad, Shamsi will be expected to strengthen an attack that has failed to defend scores in excess of 170 this season twice. Read more..
    • Oshane Thomas He played four times for Rajasthan in 2019, taking 5 wickets, and his raw pace could be an asset on the flat pitches expected in the UAE. An economy rate of over 9 in his 51 T20 outings isn’t great, but the tally of 63 wickets shows what a threat he can be. His best figures of 5 for 28 came against Sri Lanka. Read more..
