Zimbabwe will take on India in the 2nd T20I of the 5-match series at the Harare Sports Club, Harare, on Sunday (July 7).
Zimbabwe stunned the world champions India in the opening T20, beating them by 13 runs in a low-scoring match. Batting first, keeper Clive Madande was the top-scorer as Zimbabwe struggled to 115 runs in 20 overs. Tendai Chatara and Sikandar Raza took 3 wickets each as India was dismissed for 102 runs in the final over.
India will be disappointed with their performance in the first T20 since the World Cup victory. A personal best bowling spell by Ravi Bishnoi (4/13) and Washington Sundar (2/11) restricted the hosts. But a new looking batting order with two three debutants failed to get going. Captain Gill was the top-scorer with 31 runs and Sundar added 27 runs at the end.
