WEST HAM UNITED VS. MANCHESTER UNITED: PREMIER LEAGUE | MATCH PREDICTION AND FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS

West Ham United host Manchester United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, with fans (up to 2000) returning to the stadium for the first time this season.

West Ham United are in great form, having lost only one of their last eight Premier League matches. They currently sit fifth in the table, with 17 points from 10 games, just four points behind leaders Tottenham Hotspur.

They are on a three-match-winning streak. In their last match, they beat Aston Villa 2-1 at home, thanks to goals by A Ogbonna and J Bowen.

Manchester United were in excellent form, having won four games in a row before they lost to PSG in the Champions League midweek. Nonetheless, the team's confidence should be high after a rousing come-from-behind win over Southampton as they recovered from 2-0 down at half-time to win 3-2 at St. Mary’s.

After a quarter of the season, they are still only five points off the top of the table, having played one game less than the other teams. A victory this weekend will get them into the top four temporarily.

Match Facts

West Ham have won their last two Premier League home games against Manchester United. They’ve not been able to win three in a row at home against them in the top-division since a run of four from Jan 1974 to Dec 1977.

Manchester United have won each of their last eight Premier League away games, their longest away winning run in the league history. They are looking to win their first five away games in a single league season for the first time since 1985-86.

Manchester United have won more points from losing positions than any other Premier League side this season (12), coming from behind to win all four of their away games so far this season.

B Fernandes has scored in each of his last five Premier League away games. The last player to score in six consecutive away league games for them was Denis Law in March 1964.

Match Prediction

This will be only the fourth time in the Premier League that West Ham go into a match against Manchester United sitting above them in the points table.

Manchester United's away form has been perfect so far, but the Hammers have been impressive at home. It should be a close match, with United expected to extend their away run to five wins.
