Howzat Became the Title Sponsor of Legends League Cricket 2022

Howzat, the fantasy cricket platform, has acquired the title sponsorship rights of the inaugural season of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) to be played in January 2022. The League will be officially called the “Howzat Legends League Cricket”.

There will be three teams participating in the league representing India, Asia, and the Rest of the World. All the matches will be played at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Muscat, Oman. The matches are expected to be competitive and exciting for the players and the fans, reviving the rivalries between these legends of the game.

Bollywood legend actor Amitabh Bachchan has joined Howzat Legends League Cricket as its ambassador. He said “I have had the opportunity to play cricket in my younger days but now to become the face of such a wonderful initiative is an incredible feeling. To have these Legends of the game who have given such beautiful moments of happiness and pride, back on the field again is exhilarating. Legends League Cricket will definitely present itself as an excellent opportunity for the Legends and their ardent fans like me to connect again.”

Ravi Shastri, former India Head Coach, has joined the League as its Commissioner. He added “The Shehanshah of Cinema, the Don of our hearts is here to take the magic of Legends League Cricket all across the globe. It’s a privilege to work with him. This is going to be like a trace of a bullet, I tell you.” 

The League has announced its partnership with Sony Pictures Networks India to live telecast all the matches of the league to be played on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 channels as well as livestream the matches in India on their OTT platform, SonyLIV. The League has a potential reach of over 500 million cricket fans across the world through television broadcast and live streaming of the matches.
