India ODI, T20 Squad for Sri Lanka Series 2023

27 December 2022 The BCCI has announced the India squads for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. India will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is across six venues, starting on 3rd January 2023. Jasprit Bumrah was named in the ODI squad after a long injury layoff on 3rd January 2023 but withdrawn on 9th January 2023.

India T20 Squad for Sri Lanka Series 2023 

H. Pandya has been picked as the captain of the T20I team, with S. Yadav being the vice captain. Regular captain R. Sharma will be absent due to a thumb injury, while K. Rahul and V. Kohli have been rested. Pacers S. Mavi and M. Kumar have earned a call-up to the T20I squad for the first time. India won the last T20I series in New Zealand, continuing their successful run in bilateral outings.

R. Sharma will lead the ODI team and H. Pandya will be the vice captain. V. Kohli and K. Rahul are back in the squad for the ODIs. R. Pant doesn't feature in either of the squads, while I. Kishan has been named in both squads. S. Dhawan is not part of the ODI squad either. Team India has lost its last two ODI series, which were played with Bangladesh and New Zealand.

Sri Lanka Cricket has named an 18-member squad for its ODI series against India, starting on 10th January 2023. D. Shanaka is the captain, while K. Mendis is the vice captain. N. Fernando has earned his maiden ODI call-up after a fine performance in the Lanka T20 League.

India vs Sri Lanka 2023 Schedule

India and Sri Lanka will face each other in 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs from 3rd January to 15th January. All the T20I matches have a start time of 7 PM IST and will be played at Mumbai, Pune, and Rajkot, respectively.

The ODI series is not part of the ODI Super League. All the ODI matches have a start time of 1:30 PM IST and will be played at Guwahati, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram, respectively.
