India Squad for T20 World Cup 2022, Updated Player List
On 12 Sep. 2022, Team India announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, scheduled to begin on October 16 and end on November 13. India will take on Pakistan in their 2022 T20 World Cup tournament opener at 1:30 PM IST on October 23.
The India cricket team will be led by R. Sharma with KL Rahul being the vice captain. Most of the T20 world cup India Team is the same which was picked for Asia Cup 2022. India failed to reach the final of the Asia Cup. Team India is in Super 12 Group 2 alongside South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh and 2 first round winners.
In bowling, H. Patel is back after recovering from rib injury. Also, A. Patel is a like-for-like replacement for injured R. Jadeja. S. Iyer, R. Bishnoi, S. Thakur and M. Siraj have been named as standbys for the tournament.
